Reverse wrong mobile recharge for BSNL:

For BSNL prepaid numbers if you want to reverse your wrong recharge just send a sms to 58081.

SMS Format:   To revert back the Wrong Top-Up done from Your Ctop-Up Reatiler Sim, send

REV<space>Mobile No.<space>Amount<Ref. ID via SMS to 58081.

SMS should be sent within 2 hours from transaction time but on same calendar date.

In return you will receive Request Acceptance.

SMS should be sent from same CTOP_No/ Retailer Mobile.

SMS sent will cost Rs. 2 /SMS.

Entire process will take around 4 hours for reversal.

A retailer can reverse maximum 5 transactions in a calendar month.

Only TOPUP can be reversed.

All other Special Recharge is not allowed for reversal. Any RCV /STV cannot be reverted back.

Top Up denomination should be minimum Rs 50

So who is eligible for MNP? Any customer who has been using their connection for more than 90 days and has paid up all postpaid bills (if applicable). Other criteria can be viewed on the website www.trai.gov.in

Steps for National MNP Idea

  1. SMS PORT <Mobile no.> to 1900 to get your UPC
  2. Walk into the nearest Idea store at the location you plan to move to.
  3. Fill the Subscriber Enrollment Form and submit with your passport size photo, ID & address proof documents. If you’re a postpaid subscriber, a paid copy of the last bill issued has to be attached. Please ensure that your bills are paid.
  4. Choose your plan
  5. Collect your new SIM from the store and insert it in your phone once your old SIM disconnects.
  6. Dial 59059 upon seeing signal bars in your handset for tele-verification.

Mobile Number Portability MNP for BSNL

BSNL Mobile Number Portability (MNP) Process:

Mobile Number Portability (MNP) is the facility for users to switch to any mobile operator in any Licensed Service Area (LSA) of INDIA, while retaining their existing mobile number . Sim card and all services on the mobile connection will change and will be provided by the new operator. FMNP service is available all across BSNL network in INDIA

So who is eligible for MNP? Any customer who has been using their connection for more than 90 days and has paid up all postpaid bills (if applicable). Other criteria can be viewed on the website www.trai.gov.in

Step to move your mobile number to BSNL

Obtain Unique Porting Code (UPC) by sending an SMS to 1900 in the format ‘Port Space 10 digit mobile number” (eg and send it to 1900) in case of J&K pre-paid mobile subscriber to get UPC – call 1900 instead of sending SMS.

UPC allocated to a subscriber shall be valid for a period of fifteen days from the date of request or such time till the number is ported out, whichever is earlier, for all service areas except Jammu & Kashmir, Assam and North East licensed areas the validity for the UPC shall be for a period of thirty days from the date of request or till such time the number is ported out, whichever is earlier, irrespective of. Number of requests the subscriber makes.

You have to visit the BSNL CSC (Customer Service Centre) / Authorized franchisee / retailer to request for porting of your mobile number. Fill in a CAF (Customer Application Form) and pay the porting fees for processing. (Presently BSNL is not charging any fees for porting into BSNL).

You will be issued a new BSNL SIM card.

Upon approval of porting request, BSNL will inform you the date and time of porting.

You are required to change your SIM card at the said time. In case of problem you need to contact the Toll free number 1800-180-1503 or 1503.

It is simple! Generate a Unique Porting Code (UPC) from your mobile number. To generate a UPC, SMS “PORT” (space) mobile number to 1900 Visit your nearest ‘Videocon Retail Outlet’, submit mandatory documents and fill the Customer Application Form and Port-in form, pay Port-in fee (as applicable), get a new Videocon Telecom Services SIM and request for port-in. Whenever you want to Port-in with a new service provider, you need to send an SMS PORT to 1900 to generate a unique porting code. This code needs to be clearly mentioned by you in the Port-in form at the time of giving the request.

Conditions to be fulfilled for Port-in are:

  1. You should have served a period of 90 (ninety) days on your current service provider from the date of activation/ last Port-in.
  2. Port-in can be done within the same circle.
  3. Before the date of application for porting, you should have no outstanding payments to your current service provider by way of pending bills.
  4. You should have no pending request to change ownership of your mobile number.
  5. You should confirm that the mobile number to be ported is not sub-judice.
  6. The porting of your mobile number should not have been prohibited by the court of law.

Turnaround time for complete Port in process is 7 days. (Subject to positive verification)

The Port-in fee that can be charged to you is a maximum of Rs. 19/ (per Port-in request). (As per TRAI guidelines).

MTS Mobile Number Portability (MNP) Process

Request for porting             

  1. Contact the new mobile service provider to whom you want to port your mobile number.
  2. Obtain Customer Acquisition Form (CAF) & Porting Form.
  3. Read the eligibility, probable reasons for porting rejection and other conditions carefully.
  4. If eligible, fill up the CAF and Porting Form. For filling up of porting form you need a ‘Unique Porting Code’ (UPC)
  5. To obtain UPC send SMS from the mobile number you want to port to the number ‘1900’ with text ‘PORT’ followed by space followed by your 10 digit mobile number you want to port. [ As pre-paid SMS is not permitted, in Jammu & Kashmir the subscriber has to dial ‘1900’ to get an UPC, the operator at ‘1900’ provide the UPC after verifying subscriber number with CLI. ]
  6. It may be noted that you will receive an auto generated 8 digits UPC from the Donor operator. The first two characters of the UPC consists of ‘Alphabets’ and remaining 6 digits will be numerical characters except zero.
  7. Submit the duly filled Porting Form and CAF along with requisite documentary proof to the mobile service provider.
  8. If you are a postpaid subscriber, submit a paid copy of the last bill issued along with Porting Form and CAF.
  9. Obtain new SIM card from the new service provider.
  10. Service provider may charge porting charge maximum upto Rs. 19/-

You can withdraw your porting request within 24 hrs of applying.

However, the porting charge is non-refundable.

Activation of ported number                      

  1. Your new mobile service provider will intimate you the date & time of porting on your mobile phone.
  2. Change over takes place on the 7th working day (15th working day in case of Jammu & Kashmir, Assam and North East service areas).

13.The service disruption time shall be around 2 hrs during night time of the date/time of porting.

  1. Replace the old SIM with the new SIM provided by your new mobile service provider after the specified date and time.

Eligibility and Other Conditions    

You are allowed to move to another mobile service provider only after 90 days of the date of activation of your mobile connection or from the date of last porting of your mobile number, whichever is applicable.

You are allowed to change mobile service provider within the same service area only.

If you are a postpaid subscriber, please ensure that you have paid all the dues as per your last bill (You will have to sign an undertaking in the Porting Form also).

If you are a Pre-paid subscriber, please note that the balance amount of talk time, if any, at the time of porting will lapse.

MTNL Mobile Number Portability (MNP) Process

Mobile Number Portability is the process by which, you can shift to another operator of your choice, while retaining your old number. Say goodbye to inflated billing, call drops and substandard network and switch to MTNL for transparent billing, state of art 3G networks, most economical tariffs and best customer care. Customer of any Mobile Service provider of any circle can be ported in to MTNL Mumbai or Delhi. any Mobile Service provider of any circle can be ported in to MTNL Mumbai or Delhi.

Steps to move to MTNL:

Step 1: At the first, you need to generate UPC (Unique Porting Code) which is an alpha-numeric 8 digit code which is given by your existing operator to switch to another operator. SMS to be sent to 1900.

PORT ‹ Space › ‹ Mobile Number ›  and send it to 1900.

E.g. if your mobile number is 93xxxxxxxxx, then PORT 93xxxxxxxx

Step 2: After sending SMS to 1900, you will receive UPC (Unique Porting Code) as a SMS from 1901 giving 8 digit alpha-numeric Unique Porting Code (UPC) and UPC expiry date in MM/DD/YYYY format. The first two characters of the UPC code consist of ‘Alphabets’ and remaining 6 digits will be numerical characters, except zero.

Step 3: Visit your nearest MTNL Customer Service Center (CSC list link)

Step 4: Fill Mobile Number Porting (MNP) form and Customer Agreement Form(CAF), Along with Address & Identity proof documents, self-attested photo.

If you are a postpaid subscriber, submit a paid copy of the last bill issued along with Porting Form and CAF.

Step 5: You will get a New SIM, please retain it.

Step 6: MTNL will send an SMS on your existing/old operator’s SIM mentioning the porting date and time.

Step 7: There will be 2 hour ‘no service period’ which will begin after the porting time as given above. This ‘no service period’ will be in most of probability between midnight 12 AM to 6 AM. This ‘ no service period’ is the time in which service will not exist from any operator, i.e., ‘donor’ or ‘receiver’.

Step 8: Replace the old SIM with MTNL SIM after the No Service Period and your MTNL service starts.

Procedure to check bsnl broadband un billed usage:

  • Login to bsnl self-care postal here
  • Click on the services menu available at the top
  • Click on Check My Broadband Unbilled Usage Details link on the right side, this will open Broadband Summary Details window.
  • Select the telephone number, from date and to date for which you want to know the broadband usage.
  • Click on go button, this will display the broad band usage (both upload and download) for selected period.
  • For billed usage select Check My Broadband Billed Usage Details from main screen

  • Click on the services menu available at the top
  • Click on Submit a Complaint link on the right side, this will open

My service complaints window.

  • Provide the complaint details.
  • Click on submit button.
  • To check the complaint status select Check My Complaint Status Details from main screen
  • Here you will get the list of submitted complaints.
